A team of faculty researchers from Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), led by Dr. Lori Shayne A. Busa, R&D Director, is taking part in a two-day complementation workshop to refine research proposals for the Collaborative Research for Development (LBR4D) project. This initiative, in partnership with the DA-Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) and the DA-Livestock Biotechnology Center, focuses on enhancing food safety in the dairy industry.

The writeshop aims to equip project proponents with the necessary skills to develop well-structured proposals for potential funding from DA-PCC.

During the opening session, Dr. Marvin A. Villanueva, DA-Livestock Biotechnology Center Chief and his team from DA-PCC shared valuable insights on the agency’s priority research areas, particularly in biotechnology. They also introduced proposal templates to guide researchers in crafting strong and relevant project submissions.

In the afternoon, Dr. Eric P. Palacpac, Chief of the Research and Development Division (RDD) at DA-PCC, provided an overview of the their R&D programs.

By the end of the workshop, three research proposals are expected to be refined and submitted for possible funding.

A big thank you to DA-PCC for their warm accommodation and support!
