To strengthen its research efforts on food safety, a team of faculty researchers from Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) recently conducted a benchmarking activity at the Department of Agriculture–Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) as part of the complementation workshop for the Collaborative Research for Development (LBR4D) Project.

The project is a partnership between DA-PCC, DA-Livestock Biotechnology Center, and NVSU, focusing on the development of biosafety diagnostic devices for dairy milk to ensure safer and higher-quality products.

The NVSU research team visited several key facilities at DA-PCC, including the Biosafety and Environment Section, Reproductive and Physiology Section, National Livestock Cryobank, Production Systems and Nutrition Section, Animal Breeding and Genomics Section, and Product Development and Innovation Unit.

The activity aimed to provide researchers with valuable insights into existing best practices in livestock biotechnology and dairy production. It also served as a meaningful learning experience that will help the team finalize their research proposals and strengthen the project’s direction.

Thank you, DA-PCC!
